Video Interview with Dental 3D Printing Specialist, Dr. Michael Scherer

3D Printers are helping Dentists, Orthodontists, and Laboratories by reducing costs and enhancing patient experience, not to mention faster turnaround rates and easy customization.  We had the pleasure of interviewing one of the leading practitioners, proponents, and teachers in the dental 3D Printing movement, Dr. Michael Scherer.

Dr. Scherer specializes in Prosthodontics, which is an area of dentistry that focuses on dental prostheses like dentures and dental implants. 3D Printing and Intraoral Scanning have changed the way he runs his practice and he has travelled around the country to teach dentists about the wonders of 3D Printing.

In this interview, Dr. Scherer talks about his first introduction into 3D Printing, the basic workflow from scanning to printing, the benefits of having a 3D Printer in a dental office, and why the technology is so important for a dentist.
