UPS is planning to expand its 3D printing operations to other parts of the world in in order to stay ahead of ahead of parts printing. UPS is paid by parts manufacturers to store and ship their parts, but a recent trend is threatening to hurt them financially.The company may begin to lose money because some companies are 3D printing a number of their own parts. And if a large number of their customers switch to 3D printing, that aspect of their business might suffer greatly.

In order to reduce the threat, UPS has decided to embrace 3D printing further and is thinking of expanding to Europe and Asia. UPS will now offer to 3D print parts and ship the from and to those parts of the world.
