Heartbeat Project: Synchronization Between Music and The Heart

Zortrax and DJ Piotr Bejnar worked together on The Heartbeat Project, a 3D printed bracelet device that allows music to be synced with a person's heartbeat. Piotr came up with the idea for the device when he had to DJ an event in the middle of a crowd. He had arrived late to a club and was not able to connect his console, so he decided to set-up his gear and play the music in the middle of the venue. Piotr said that he was so close to the people that he could practically hear their heartbeats.

Piotr prototyped the Heartbeats bracelet with a Zortrax M200 and feedback from his friends. The bracelet contains a heart rate monitor and wirelessly sends the pulse to Piotr's DJ console so he could mix it with the music.
