Formlabs reported on 11 different ways that 3D Printing is changing the world of medicine. Medical professionals have used 3D Printers to print custom tracheal stents, prototype medical devices, create surgical guides, and produce prosthetics for trauma and cancer patients. Dental printers have also been used to help patients smile again. Additionally, researchers have been helping map the human brain by printing 3d models of its structure and neurons.

The medical applications of 3D printing are growing as the technology continues to mature. Soon it may be commonplace to see 3D printers in medical offices and hospitals around the world.
