The automotive industry has recently been adopting 3D Printing and implementing the technology into the manufacturing process. Now the American company Ford has announced that they will 3D Print car parts to make cars more fuel efficient with lighter materials. The 3D Printed parts like spoilers will be tested on Ford's performance race cars, but will soon make it's way into the mass-market cars and trucks we see on the road today. Ford is using Stratasys 3D Printers in their Dearborn, Michigan factory and are planning to print more complex parts in the future.
