3D Printing and Rhinos

The 3D Printer (3D Printarous Makeakus) is a piece of technology that can produce all kinds of 3 Dimensional objects. Some use 3D Printers to print objects from television shows, movies, books, and other types of popular culture. While others use the technology for other reasons, like the conservation of animals.

Rhinos are on the endangered list due to poaching and the belief that their horns contain medicinal/magical properties. A group of researchers is trying to help injured Rhinos by designing and printing horns out of biologic materials.

3DPrinting.com reports on how a company based in San Francisco is working on producing horns that are close to the real thing.
