3D printed book covers could be arriving to a bookstore near you. Anthony Phillis a designer developed 3D printed packaging for a Barry Bonds book. His cover could mark the beginning of creative 3D printed covers and packaging for books displayed in stores. In a world where first impressions are important 3D book covers could pique someone’s interest in a book and potentially lead to a purchase. Phillis also mentions that 3D book packaging could be interactive, a move that will help books engage shoppers in new and interesting ways.
